Strengthen Awareness of the Credit Union Difference

Regardless of your credit union’s location or size, sponsorship of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run is an essential part of making your voice heard on Capitol Hill!

Since 2002, credit unions have held title sponsorship of the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run, a prestigious “bucket list” race that takes place in the Nation’s Capital and serves as the premier event showcasing the credit union difference to Capitol Hill. In 2018, 214 Members of Congress representing 46 states, the District of Columbia, and 3 U.S. Territories served as Honorary Race Chairs. More than 600 House and Senate staffers engaged in a spirited and friendly competition vying for the coveted Capitol Cup. Throughout the event, staffers were surrounded by credit union volunteers and signage illustrating our message: credit unions make a difference in the lives of their members and the communities they serve.

By adding your credit union’s name to the list of those who support this world class event, our message is that much stronger. We need to continually demonstrate how much we care about our members and highlight the impact we make in our communities – like saving our members an average of $184 each year and donating more than $12 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals annually.
