The 2021 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run will mark the 20th year of title sponsorship of this 48-year old, “bucket list” race known as the Runners Rite of Spring. This race, that takes place in our nation’s capital, includes more than 600 Capitol Hill staffers and legislators. In addition, 214 Members of Congress from 46 states, the District of Columbia and 3 U.S. Territories supported the event as Honorary Race Chairs in 2019.  This race is the premier event showcasing the credit union difference to Capitol Hill, and gives credit unions tremendous visibility in front of Congress.

By serving as the title sponsor, credit unions are continuing to foster a successful event, raise significant awareness about the difference credit unions make in the lives of consumers and our communities, and donate much needed money to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide.  We presented a check for $400,000 to CMN Hospitals in 2020 – making our total almost $10 million since 2002.

In 2019 alone, credit unions across the nation raised more than $12 million for CMN Hospitals. This makes credit unions the 5th largest fundraiser in lifetime giving for CMN Hospitals.
