Credit Union Miracle Day, Inc. is a 501c3 organization founded in 2001 as a consortium of credit unions with a common goal of showcasing the difference CUs make in their communities through the support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
For more than 50 years, this “bucket list” race known as the Runners Rite of Spring, takes place in our nation’s capital and includes nearly 9,000 credit union members and more than 850 Capitol Hill staffers and legislators.
The Capitol Hill Competition began in 2002 as a running competition between House and Senate congressional offices. This time-honored tradition is open exclusively to the staff, offices, agencies, and committees serving the House and Senate. The competition, also known as “the race within the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile &5K” includes over 700 Capitol Hill runners annually. Additionally, more than 200 members of Congress have served as Honory Race Chairs. See if your Congress person is included here.
A Capital Affair brings the credit union industry together for an elegant evening of mixing and mingling at a venue unique to the nation’s capital. Along with the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K, this exclusive event is one of our region’s largest fundraisers for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
