Credit Union sponsors of the race are highly encouraged to engage their members and employees in additional fundraising activities to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. There are endless opportunities to have fun and raise money at the same time, but here are a few ideas to get you thinking:
Credit unions that sponsor the race receive several Guaranteed Race Entry Codes based on the level of sponsorship. These highly coveted entry codes guarantee entry into either the 10 Mile or the 5K for any person using the code. These codes eliminate the uncertainty of using the general lottery process in early December or, perhaps more importantly, once the 10 Mile and 5K are closed, guaranteeing the user a spot in the sold-out event.
Credit Unions are free to use race entry codes however they wish including giving them to credit union officials, staff, credit union members, suppliers, etc. They could be used in individual credit union fundraising efforts for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by raffling or auctioning them off after the lottery has closed.
Simply have employees ask every member to buy a miracle balloon for $1 (or more) and all donations go to their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital to help kids in their communities. The member gets to write their name on the icon, and you can showcase the icons in your branch.

Auction your Guaranteed Race Entry codes to members. The CU Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K is a highly competitive event with limited race registrations available to the general public. Your members will take advantage of this, and you could use this as a new member promotion tool!
Organize a skip-a-payment program for your members with an option for all or a portion of the fee to go to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Members love the fact that they will have extra cash in their pocket – and that they’ll also be giving to a worthy cause.
Choose a day and let staff pay $5 to wear jeans, a favorite team jersey – or whatever your employees think would be fun!
